Additional Information
You must join the army. You will be required to serve in the army 4 years after the internship is complete. The US Army Dietetic Internship DOES NOT participate in DICAS. You have to apply on their website.
2) University of California, San Francisco Medical Center Dietetic Internship
Location – San Francisco, CA
Stipend – $16,640
Annual Enrollment – 10 interns per year

Additional Information
No tuition, Meal allowance at all hospital cafeterias when on duty. Health insurance, medical care and dental care are provided by UCSF Student Health Services and Counseling Services.
3) Department of State Hospitals Dietetic Internship, Napa
Location – Napa, California
Stipend – $400 per month or $4,400
Annual enrollment – 6 interns per year
Program length- 11 months
Addition Information – Tuition, room and board, and meals are covered. Must live on the campus of the psych ward.
4) VA Caribbean Healthcare System Dietetic Internship
Location – San Juan, Puerto Rico
Stipend – $14,144
Annual Enrollment – 10 interns per year
Program Length – 12 months
Additional Information – No tuition and will probably have to be bilingual
5) Department of State Hospitals Dietetic Internship, Atascadero
Location – Atascadero, CA
Stipend – $14,000
Annual Enrollment – 4 interns per year
Program Length – 10 months
Additional Information – Majority of the internship will be at a psych hospital. Reduced-cost housing is available to interns that choose to reside on hospital grounds.
